Visit from Nana

My mother-in-law came to visit for J's birthday (a couple weeks late). She works weekends and wasn't able to make the party, so she came up this week. We hadn't seen her since T's birthday 5 months ago. She took us to dinner that night and J was so excited we were going to Applebees! He was actually jumping up and down (obviously we don't eat out often!). We porked out on our steaks, J ate ALL of his cheeseburger....it was a mini-burger, but it was eaten! We even ordered dessert! We NEVER get dessert, what an awesome dinner!

Nana brought J a scooter and a Spongebob Squarepants skateboard. He is quite good on the scooter, but is waiting until he is 7 to ride the skateboard! :) It is very frustrating for him to not be great at something, and he doesn't understand that he needs to practice to get better. I am sure he won't wait that long to try it again.

T was very excited to get the "little boy" scooter, he just stands on it and waits for me to push him around. Does he have me trained or what?No, he didn't fall down, he was just sitting there watching brother ride back and forth.
