Another holiday come and gone. I spent the day away from my family, busy working. Daddy bought fireworks, invited over Grammie and Gramps and a couple friends for the show. I hear it was quite impressive. Although I am not that excited over fireworks it would have been nice to see the boys' reactions, or at least J's since T slept through it all!
We did head down to the beach to visit with family and see a weekend fireworks show there. It was nice to visit, play around in town, and of course visit the candy shop!! Love the saltwater taffy. I am still trying to recover. Both boys are asleep an hour earlier than usual. I would love to join them, but I still have to clean out the car and finish my grocery list. Ahhh, the life of a mother!
I have been looking at crochet and knitting projects that I would love to make. But I have found it is extremely hard to follow a pattern when you have children! If I ever want to make anything I have to wait for nap time and then hurry to do as much as possible before they wake. But of course that is my time also for mopping the floor or any other cleaning that I should be doing (key word is should). There is a shrug that I would love to make, it would be done around Christmas. I have a couple sweaters for friends' daughters that I need to make too. So much to do in not enough time!
Another week of good weather coming, already have plans for another spray park day!!

When do we mothers get a break? Not as often as we should. I can't wait for the beach! I am so glad that you were able to spend some time with your family this weekend. We always pay for it in the end though, don't we? That's okay, its the memories we have that count :)
